Leaving Hootsuite?
The recurring story from small brands and nonprofits is not that Hootsuite stopped working — it is that per-seat pricing built for social teams stopped making sense for one person with several accounts. If that is you, here is exactly what switching to us gets you, and what it costs you. Both halves matter.
The price gap, stated carefully
Hootsuite's published entry price is $99 per user per month, billed annually — roughly $1,200 up front for one seat, and month-to-month billing costs more (their public pricing as of September 2026 — it changes, and their tier structure is reported differently by different sources, so verify on their pricing page before deciding anything). CapraBrand's paid plans start at €29/month flat on founding pricing — first 100 subscribers keep their price for life, list becomes €49 from 1 March 2027 — and there is a real free plan: 1 brand, 2 connected networks, 5 posts a month, no card.
One line that is already on our landing page and belongs here too: price-locked for life — no acquisition ever raises it, and your data exports free. That is a commitment about the failure mode people are actually fleeing.
What you get
- One composer, nine networks: X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Mastodon, and Telegram. Scheduling included on every plan, the free one too.
- Failure honesty most schedulers lack: when a scheduled post goes out, you see the result per network, with the actual error when one fails. Full failures retry automatically; partial ones deliberately never auto-retry, because re-sending the legs that already succeeded would double-post you. A post that timed out mid-send tells you so and asks you to verify — it will not guess.
- Bluesky links that actually work: we compute Bluesky's link facets properly, so your URLs are clickable there — many tools post them as dead text.
- The brand kit around it: logo, palette, fonts, AI drafting, and a client portal on paid plans — Hootsuite is a scheduler; this is a small brand's whole kit.
What you give up — read this half too
Hootsuite is an enterprise social suite and we are not. Moving to CapraBrand you lose: approval workflows and team permissions beyond simple seats, the unified social inbox, social listening, and ads management. Our scheduler is also text-first: on scheduled sends, your saved brand image rides along only when Instagram is among the selected networks (it then also lands on Telegram, Facebook and Discord); everything else posts text only — no image scheduling to Bluesky or X today, and no thread composer. If a three-person social team runs your accounts through approvals, or your work lives in the inbox, Hootsuite (or an agency tool) is genuinely the better fit, and we would rather say so here than after you have moved.
What moving involves
There is no import to run because there is nothing to import — schedulers hold your queue, not your history. Moving is: create an account, connect your networks (about a minute each; Bluesky uses an app password from Settings → App Passwords), and rebuild whatever was still queued. For most small brands that is under half an hour, and you can run both tools in parallel until you are sure. Your Hootsuite subscription is yours to cancel on their terms — check your renewal date before it checks you.
